About

As the title suggest, this blog is about ‘all things home grown’. But it is more than just about growing vegetables; it is about anything at all that is home made, handmade, or Do It Yourself. Anything that can be done myself, or yourself, or at least tried, will be included in this blog, from building web sites to renovating property, to making an income, and yes, even growing vegetables. In short, it is about 'living the dream' and the realities of being as self sufficient as possible.

I am very fortunate that I live in a huge old house (early Edwardian) with a large garden of around ¾ acre. In the last year, I have started a vegetable patch, planted a mini orchard, and started renovating an old greenhouse. Not everything has worked out, but that’s all part of the learning curve.
